Fireworks Stand Informational Letter

 

Company: Jake's Fireworks! Our location is Crazy Debbie's Fireworks 3733 N Main St Rd, Joplin, MO 64801. It's an actual building! Not outside in a tent. Air conditioning and bathrooms! 

 

There are many shifts available to work.  Here is a quick description of the jobs:

 

Initial set-up: This requires 30 students/10-15 parents to set up shelving. And put fireworks out on shelving. 5 parents hang signs on the billboard. This normally happens between June 15-19th. We have to confirm a date with the fireworks company. 

 

School Employee: This role needs to be filled by any Joplin Schools Employee. For insurance purposes a school employee has to be present. Your specific job will vary depending on the needs of the day.

 

Parent: We would like to have one parent on each shift to help out and monitor the store with whatever school employee is there. 

 

Register: Register workers will accept payment for fireworks and supply change as needed. These shifts must be worked by Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors. 

 

Floor: Floor workers answer questions guests may have and help restock items when additional loads of fireworks come in. You keep the store looking nice. 

 

Sign Holder: The sign holder waves a sign outside advertising the store. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather and bring sunblock. 

 

To start, students are allowed 3 shifts. More shifts may be made available at a later date.
